Membership dues in the Chamber of Commerce may be tax deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense. Dues payable to the Chamber are not a charitable tax deduction for federal income tax purposes. The Chamber is not a charity, but serves as an advocate organization for area businesses.

* Small and professional businesses invest $176 per year, plus$3 per full-time employee and $1.50 per part-time employee. A "retiree" membership is available to prior active members at $75 per year. Membership to social service organizations is $143 annually. Medium and large firms invest more based on averages for their type of plant. There may be special circumstances that will be taken into consideration.
